FANTASY FOOTBALL SLEEPERS TO TARGET IN 2019

NUMBER 14 – KEKE COUTEE

We are going to double dip on rookie receivers from last season, with Houston Texans wide receiver Keke Coutee coming up next.

Chiefs fans might perk hearing Coutee’s name, as he was Mahomes’ favorite target during their time together at Texas Tech. Coutee also shares some similarities with Kirk, but his sample size is even smaller. His base stats of were very underwhelming with 28 catches for 287, and he only caught one touchdown.

It is to project his averages over a full season, as he only appeared in six games, starting only two. Still, for the sake of comparison, over 16 games, Coutee would’ve averaged 75 catches, 765 yards, and three touchdowns. That is solid work.

Coutee also gets a boost from being surrounded by prolific players Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins should eat a lion share of the targets, but in today’s pass happy league, there should be enough to go around.

The only thing working against Coutee could be the return of deep threat Will Fuller. Fuller has shown the ability to make plays when healthy, but the healthy part is a big if at this point in his career.

Coutee is also coming off of an injury himself, so there are question marks there as well. Still, with an average ADP of #135 right now, he is a player you should target in the mid to late rounds.

He also is a great handcuff player for owners of DeAndre or Fuller. If one of those players miss time, his value only raises. At worst, he is a solid trade piece later in the year for teams hit with WR injuries.

Recommended Target Draft Range: Rounds 9-10 (especially for Hopkins owners)
