Kansas Basketball Transfer Portal Wishlist: TJ Holyfield

Another player who could offer the Jayhawks assistance in the paint is an experienced forward from Stephen F. Austin, TJ Holyfield.

Holyfield missed last season due to an injury but has played in 101 games, and started all of them. He’s averaged 10.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.3 blocked shots, and converted on 58 percent of his two-point shot attempts.

The Illini Inquirer provided a tidy scouting report on Holyfield.

"At 6-foot-8, 227 pounds, Holyfield is a good athlete who can battle inside for rebounds and also contest shots. And at the offensive end, he is an efficient scorer with the ability to put the ball in the basket from all three levels and he can play above the rim. As a junior, he shot 54.8 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from three."

Holyfield looks like he might be a stretch-four that can hold his own athletically in the paint in the Big 12, and drift out to pop a few threes when needed. He seems like a perfect fit for the Jayhawks.
