TERRY BECKNER – DEFENSIVE TACKLE

Terry Beckner is beloved by Missouri fans, but at best, he’ll probably be a round five draft pick. Beckner had a nice career with the Tigers, totaling 120 tackles (32 for loss) and 13.5 sacks in four seasons. As a junior in 2017, Beckner notched seven sacks.

Beckner is an intriguing player, but there are definitely limitations with him. Lance Zierlein of NFL.com pointed out that Beckner looked out of shape this past season and also said that the season-ending knee injuries he had in 2015 and 2016 are reasons to be wary.

Yes, the knee injuries are definitely something teams will keep in mind when considering drafting Terry Beckner, but if he can stay healthy and get back to his junior year form, he could end up being a steal in this year’s draft.

What analysts are saying:

"Beckner has flashes where his ability and football instincts can take over in spurts, but he struggles to sustain it. He’s strong and has enough athleticism to compensate for his lower body stiffness when taking on double teams, but he gets put on skates and washed out when he gets blocked on the move. -Lance Zierlein, NFL.com (Link listed above)"
