NUMBER 2 – WEEK 13 AT OAKLAND RAIDERS

The Chiefs were in the midst of some drama when their week 13 game against the hated Oakland Raiders came about. Kareem Hunt had been let go from the team and fans started to think the collapsing curse was kicking in once again.

Mahomes had been praised the week of for motivating his team regardless of the situation. He went on to have a great day against the Raiders, going 23 of 38 for 295 yards and four touchdowns.

This was the type of performance Mahomes had to have that week, as the Chiefs were going through a lot of turmoil after the Hunt situation. Even with their star running back off the team, Mahomes showed that they could win without him.

Yes, it was against an atrocious Oakland team, but winning games after a rough week shows what kind of a leader Patrick Mahomes truly is.
