AFC DIVISIONAL ROUND – LA CHARGERS VS NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

STAFF PREDICTIONS

  • Kole Berrey – Patriots 24, Chargers 27
  • Chris Clark – Patriots 35, Chargers 31
  • John McCarty – Patriots 17, Chargers 24
  • Josh Michaels – Patriots 24, Chargers 27
  • Leigh Oleszczak – Patriots 20, Chargers 24

This could end up being the game of the weekend and no one would have predicted that Chargers vs Patriots would be that type of game heading into the 2018 season.

LA went 12-4 on the year, but had to settle on a Wild Card spot. Playing on the road hasn’t been an issue for them, as they’ve now gone 8-1 on the year with the lone loss coming at the Rams. To put it in perspective, the Bolts aren’t scared of playing away from California.

The Patriots are as vulnerable this year as they’ve been in a long time. They, unlike the Chargers, have struggled on the road, but have been their usual dominant selves in Foxborough. They’re 8-0 there this season, but wouldn’t one think that they’re due for a home loss?

Shockingly, all but one of the KCK staff went with the upset and picked the Chargers. For what it’s worth, we did witness them coming back down from two scores and picking the Chiefs, so we know this is a very good Chargers team.
