JOSH JACOBS – RUNNING BACK (ALABAMA)

At a position that has been devalued some in recent years, Joshua Jacobs is an interesting prospect. He plays angry and aggressive in a way that no Chief currently does. The Crimson Tide junior would prefer to deliver the contact as opposed to absorbing the blow.

A power back with quickness, Jacobs, in shared opportunities, has displayed the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield while also lining up out wide, he can run with power between the tackles and is a willing and good pass blocker in the backfield.

During his three-year career with the Crimson Tide, the back has amassed just under 2,000 all purpose yards and 21 touchdowns while averaging 6.0 yards a carry out of the backfield.

While not mentioned, running back is a need for the Chiefs and Jacobs would be a solid fit. With a play style similar to former Chiefs back Kareem Hunt, Jacobs is tough to bring down and can contribute to the offense in multiple ways.

The Chiefs will be selecting a running back in the 2019 draft to pair with veteran Damien Williams, and Jacobs may be the guy.
