Kansas City Chiefs 2019 New Year’s Resolutions

Number Two – Win a Home Playoff Game

This is a subject that reminds Chiefs Kingdom of a lot of heartache. It’s been 25 years since the Chiefs won a home playoff game. Since then, they’ve been 0-6. It’s time for that to change.

The Chiefs won a road playoff game against the Houston Texans in the 2015 postseason. That in and of itself was a huge boost for Chiefs Kingdom. The next big hurdle is winning one at home.

With the number one seed, the Chiefs have a first-round bye and will host the divisional round of the playoffs. It doesn’t matter who comes to Arrowhead Stadium, they need to be sent home with a loss. Going 1-6 in the last two and a half decades doesn’t look pretty but it would put the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, which would be played at Arrowhead.

With the loudest fans in the world, inviting the other divisional round winner to Arrowhead makes their road to the Super Bowl a lot more difficult. Hopefully, Chiefs Kingdom will bring a whole new level of noise. Before that, though, that first home playoff win must be a resolution.
