Tre’Quan Smith burned some people last week with a last minute injury holding him out of the Saints’ offensive explosion over Atlanta. While Smith is listed as questionable this week and could end up playing, I’d still opt to keep him on the bench.
Yes, Smith had that insane game against the Eagles where he had over 150 yards through the air and a touchdown reception as well, but for the most part, he isn’t a solid fantasy option. This week, Smith gets a tougher Dallas secondary and with so many other targets on the Saints offense, he’s not a safe option.
Any time Brees is your quarterback, you have a good chance at getting the ball. At the same time, however, with Brees being as good as he is, there are other targets to hit. Unless you don’t have many other options due to injuries or what have you, I wouldn’t chance it with Tre’Quan Smith this week.
