Benjamin Watson is a tricky play here. On the one hand, he’s still a very talented tight end with the highest scoring offense in football. That’s got to be something, right?
On the other hand, Watson really hasn’t been targeted much over the past three weeks, scoring just three points last week in an offensive route of the Falcons. So then, why am I suggesting starting him?
Well, for as good as the Cowboys defense has been, they’ve struggled against tight ends. Over Dallas’ last four games, they’ve surrendered four touchdowns to tight ends, according to Andrew Gould of Fantasy Pros. That bodes well with Watson and the Saints.
While New Orleans does have some other names at tight end that could steal targets from Watson in the coming weeks, if you have him on your team, this is as good a week as any to start him.
