Kansas Basketball: Reasons to be thankful in 2018
By Mike Norris
The Kansas Jayhawks may not win the national title this year, but neither will 350 other teams. Whatever happens, Jayhawk Faithful should certainly be thankful for what they are about to see this season.
Things are going so well for Kansas right now, it’s the only school in Division I men’s athletics with active football and basketball coaches who have won a national title. When the school officially announced former Oklahoma State and LSU head coach Les Miles as its new football coach earlier this week, Self was all smiles, calling it a “home run hire,” according to Benton Smith of KUSports.com.

Not as if they needed it, but the Miles’ hiring adds a little pep in the step for all Jayhawks fans this week as we move toward the most thankful day of the year. There is so much to appreciate it can be hard to keep up.
The best approach is to not get too fired up one way or another in November. A loss — or a big win — this early in the season will have little to no bearing on an NCAA Tournament game coach march. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the talent the Kansas Jayhawks present on the court and on the bench.
Tell yourSelf that Les can sometimes be more. No need to stress over a season that is still Miles away from Final Four weekend even if they do slip up a bit. Be thankful there will be no Quentin this team, as everyone seem’s to be All-en.
Happy Thanksgiving Jayhawk fans!
