The Chiefs have come out fully loaded on offense looking to take no prisoners as they have dominated the opposing defenses through two weeks of football. I don’t think anything changes on that front as Kansas City returns to Arrowhead for their home opener. Expect a very loud stadium welcoming their franchise quarterback after two exceptional games on the road to start the season off 2-0.

Even with players like cornerback Richard Sherman, I’m not scared of the 49ers secondary. During the first two weeks, quarterbacks have refused to really test Sherman which makes it hard to gauge how well he is actually going to play this season. I don’t think that Patrick Mahomes will have any fear of throwing it Sherman’s direction. Given the talent on the Chiefs offense, I don’t think he should as Sherman won’t be able to keep up every down with players like Tyreek Hill.

I think that both teams will come out of the gate hot making the first half a shootout. Come the second half, I think the defense starts shutting the 49ers offense down or at least slowing them down. While the Chiefs defense has struggled to stop the passing game, I think that given the playmakers, it will be a better game for the secondary.

Jimmy Garoppolo has already been sacked nine times this season through two weeks of football due to the lack of talent along the offensive line, and the quarterback making bad decisions in the pocket. I think the Chiefs pass rush finally gets home a few times against Garoppolo giving the defensive front some hope. I’m expecting at least one or two turnovers to get this defense back on track as well as Bob Sutton will be aggressive getting to Garoppolo.
