START ‘EM – QB

51. . Quarterback. Rams. Jared Goff. 1. player

When it comes to surprising quarterbacks from a season ago, Jared Goff might top the list. Sure, it wasn’t totally fair to fully judge him on just seven starts during his rookie season, but it’s safe to say not many people drafted Goff to be their starting quarterback.

Goff panned out for those who did take a chance on him and now he’s the “Start ‘Em” quarterback for my week one edition of Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em. Goff’s Rams will be squaring off against the Oakland Raiders in the Black Hole and that is a FAVORABLE match-up for the former first overall pick.

In case you haven’t been paying attention this offseason, the Raiders got old basically everywhere on the field. The ONE shining star they had on their defense was traded to the Bears over Labor Day weekend. So yeah… That defense is going to be in shambles this year.

There might not be a better quarterback to start this week. Goff gets to go up against a Khalil Mack-less Raiders defense and he will likely be licking his chops at that thought.
