START ‘EM

Running Back. Eagles. Jay Ajayi. 2. player. 54.

Jay Ajayi didn’t do as much damage as one would have thought the last time these two teams met (he had 15 carries for 54 yards and caught three passes for 44 yards), but he’s still listed as one of my Start ‘Ems for week one.

The news of Ajayi battling an injury recently hasn’t been good news for those that drafted him, but he’s the best option for the Eagles when it comes to running back. That means he’ll get more than enough chances to carry the rock.

The other Eagles backs are Darren Sproles, who is returning for what will likely be his final season, and Corey Clement. While Clement could have a decent game, the majority of the carries should belong to Ajayi.

The Falcons had a good rushing defense last year, but it’s a new year. Jay Ajayi, assuming he’s healthy, should be in your starting lineup on Thursday night.
