FANTASY FOOTBALL DEEP SLEEPERS TO TARGET: NUMBER 10 – JAKE BUTT

We all know this guy because he happens to have a funny last name, but Jake Butt could be a nice deep sleeper option this year. The Broncos drafted him in the fifth round in 2017, but an injury sidelined the kid for his entire rookie campaign.

Case Keenum loves to target the tight end (just look at Kyle Rudolph‘s eight touchdowns last year), so Butt will see plenty of chances to make noise. He’s very much a guy who can create burst after the catch too, averaging 11.9 yards per carry during his senior year at Michigan.

Is Jake Butt a tight end you should draft to be your starter? No absolutely not. Don’t do that. This is a player who, assuming Keenum is as effective as he was in Minnesota, could end up being one of the more explosive young tight ends in the league.

Some people might use their final pick on Butt because of his last name, but hopefully for your sake, they don’t. He’ll be a useful player for the Broncos and could even become a good option to have on your fantasy bench.
