FANTASY FOOTBALL DEEP SLEEPERS TO TARGET: NUMBER 14 – LAMAR JACKSON

Use caution here because there’s a good chance that Lamar Jackson never even plays a game for the Baltimore Ravens. He does, however, have the best odds out of any of the first round rookie quarterbacks to be a starter though.

If Jackson gets that opportunity, obviously see how he performs first. Rookie quarterbacks aren’t usually great fantasy options due to the uncertainty, but Jackson could be worth gambling on for a variety of reasons.

The main one is that he can both run and pass the football with ease. This is a kid who ran for 1,601 yards last year at Louisville. He is downright electric when it comes to carrying the ball and for fantasy purposes, those points add up awfully quick.

Another reason Jackson could be worth taking a chance on is that the rules now entirely favor offense. Jackson would have opportunities to put up some big numbers because the defense really can’t make plays now without getting penalized.

Those are good odds for a rookie quarterback to do well, but due to Joe Flacco still being the starter, Lamar Jackson isn’t worth drafting as of now. It would not be shocking if he made a few starts this season though.
