FANTASY FOOTBALL SLEEPERS TO TARGET: NUMBER 9 – AUSTIN SEFERIAN-JENKINS

It’s normally not a good sign when a 25-year old who was drafted in the second round has already spent time with three different teams. Austin Seferian-Jenkins has had his ups and downs, but he’s worth a gamble in fantasy football this year.

After flaming out in New York in 2017, Seferian-Jenkins has taken his talents to Jacksonville. While having Blake Bortles as his quarterback isn’t a confidence booster for fantasy owners, Seferian-Jenkins could become what Marcedes Lewis was for Jacksonville for over a decade.

Bortles is comfortable targeting tight ends and he and Lewis connected on five touchdowns throughout the regular season. Seferian-Jenkins is just a smidge shorter than Lewis, but drafting him could end up being a smart play by you in your league.

If nothing else, keep Austin Seferian-Jenkins on the bench for when your starting tight end has his bye week. Maybe though, just maybe, ASJ will pan out and become a legitimate force to be reckoned with at the tight end spot.
