If Mahomes struggles, so will the Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes has wowed fans and media alike since before he arrived in Kansas City. His college performances, practice highlights, preseason, and the week 17 game against Denver has everyone raging about his skillset.

It’s true, the things he can do with the ball are jaw-dropping. Mahomes has the chance to be the next big thing in the NFL. He also has the chance to be the biggest bust. No pressure.

If Mahomes is unable to adapt to the speed of the game and fine tune his flaws, the Kansas City Chiefs will find themselves sitting on the bottom of a deep hole that they dug themselves.

Chances are Mahomes is the real deal. He has done nothing but be impressive so far. There are those that don’t believe he will be very good though, and they can go suck an egg. I say this because if the latter is correct, the Chiefs will be harder to swallow than my mom’s broccoli. Sorry, mom.

All the offensive weapons in the world are no good if there is no one qualified to pull the trigger. All those weapons mean nothing if there is nobody to put them in situations to thrive.
