TOUGHEST OPPONENTS ON 2018 SCHEDULE – LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

Some might laugh at the notion of the Los Angeles Chargers being looked at as a tough team, but they were right there with the Chiefs for the AFC West title last season. Kansas City has swept the Chargers the last four years and not many of the games have been all that close honestly.

If the Chargers want to make a run, this their year to do it. The Broncos are rebuilding, the Chiefs are reloading, and who knows what Jon Gruden and the Raiders are doing. In other words, the AFC West is the Chargers’ to lose this year.

Obviously the Chiefs and the Chargers will play twice and I will not be shocked at all if one of those games is a primetime affair. Perhaps a Thursday Night Football match-up is in the cards? It’d make a lot of sense to have them play since they’re likely the two frontrunners in the division.

Philip Rivers is getting older, but that LA defense is legit. For the first time in awhile, Rivers won’t have to be the sole reason his team wins and that should make all the difference for the Bolts in 2018.

Plus, let’s just say it… The Chiefs have gone 8-0 against the Chargers since 2014. They’re due for a loss one of these days.
