Fantasy Football 2017: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 13
SIT ‘EM
Not long ago, Alex Smith was the “surprise” quarterback to start every week. Hell, in one of my leagues, I benched Cam Newton so that Smith could start. Now Newton hasn’t been that great either, but still. A year ago that would have been silly and I’d have been mocked for sure!
Now we’re back to Smith being Smith. He throws dink and dunk passes and is getting intercepted more than usually. In his last three games, Smith has thrown four interceptions after throwing zero throughout the first eight weeks of the season.
While the Jets aren’t the scariest defense in the world, it’s a unit capable of stopping mediocre offenses, such as Kansas City’s. They’ve also been decent at home and the Jets are hosting this game against the Chiefs.
Smith’s early season success was great and a lot of people likely jumped to the waiver wire to scoop him up, but he’s reverted back to his old self pretty quickly. Keep him on the bench this week.
