Devonta Freeman is still in concussion protocol, so the Falcons will continue to turn to Tevin Coleman in his absence. Coleman played well in relief of Freeman last week, finding the end zone in a big win over the Seahawks.
This week the Falcons will host the Buccaneers, who are not great at stopping the run. Last week, they allowed nobody Damien Williams to rush for 78 yards and two weeks prior to that, they were shredded by the New Orleans Saints’ rushing attack.
Even if Freeman is cleared to play this weekend, Coleman is still a decent option to slide into your starting lineup (perhaps as a flex). He gets the ball in the red zone, as indicated last week, and the Buccaneers haven’t been all that good at stopping the run.
