What’s next?

Honestly, it’s all a bit pathetic. It’s time for everybody to wise up. It’s time for common sense to reign supreme and that means it’s time for a new plan.

Here is what needs to happen.

More from Kansas State Wildcats

  1. It’s time to restore the balance of power. A head coach cannot hold the program hostage for his own family’s gain. If this cannot be done, the solution ends here. It’s time to move on after this season and find a new coach. This also hurts every assistant and Sean most of all
  2. If the power gets restored. It’s time to have a defined plan that every fan understands. It doesn’t mean the head coach has to retire ASAP or even this season. But there will a transition date.
  3. It will also be made clear that Sean Snyder will not get the head coaching position because of his father. You don’t have to eliminate him from contention, however, his resume will do that for him.

Sports exist for the fans and the athletes. Not for the head coach or the athletic directors or (despite them thinking so) the donors to run.

It’s time for K-State football to do the right thing, create a transition plan, and bring peace and calm to the K-State athletic landscape. Athletic director Gene Taylor has his work cut out for him.
