The addition of another explosive guard sends Jayhawks above all others

The Jayhawks have been on Grimes for a while now, which could be why he chose the Jayhawks. Along with Dotson, the Jayhawks own two of the top five guards in the 2018 recruiting class.

Dotson’s commitment in October gave them depth at the guard position, to the already bolstered depth chart.

Grimes, Vick, K.J. Lawson, Moore, Cunliffe, Garrett, Dotson, and possibly Newman will all be looking for playing time for the Jayhawks. These last names easily make up the best backcourt in all of college basketball next season. Owning the best back-court is something that is common for the Jayhawks every year in the Bill Self era, and 2018 looks no different.

The addition of Grimes makes the Jayhawks that much better, which only raises the hopes far beyond. Expect Grimes, and Dotson to be a two-headed monster at the guard position next season.

The fun part about having Grimes and Dotson is that many teams would love to have one of these names on their roster, and the Jayhawks get to have both. This is a little greedy, but you have to be a little greedy, if you watch Kansas Jayhawks baskteball.

As always, Rock Chalk Jayhawk.
