Wait, wait, wait…the ESPN power rankings are still showing the Kansas City Chiefs some love? I feel like I’m in one of those comic book alternate universe things. Chiefs fans aren’t used to this kind of respect from the world wide leader.
ESPN is right to note that Kansas City won’t get a comfortable setting to try and rebound. While I’m not particularly worried about the Raiders, Cowboys, or Giants right now, playing them on the road is less than ideal. The Chiefs will need to be focused.
However, Kansas City absolutely belongs at the top of the rankings. They have proven themselves to be one of the top teams in the league. Until someone can show a reason to be called a better team, the Chiefs need to be kept at the top.
