RUNNING GAME. F. . .

The Chiefs have been getting off to a slow start in the running game, but we all figured that Kareem Hunt would eventually get it going later on. Give the Steelers credit, they stopped Hunt all game long.

While Hunt would still finish with 100 yards from scrimmage, his running game isn’t what got him there. He only had nine carries for 22 yards on the day while the rushing attack as a whole totaled 15 carries for 28 yards. That’s awful.

The Chiefs obviously gave up on running the ball as the game went on, which is something they shouldn’t do. We’ve seen that Hunt eventually breaks through with a big run, but that didn’t happen this week. His longest run was for five yards.

With an Oakland Raiders team that struggles against the run coming up on Thursday night, the Chiefs have to dial it back up for their next game. They’ll bounce back, but man was that a terrible effort on Sunday.
