The Falcons manage to hang on by all of two feet as the Lions came up just short on what would’ve been a game-winning reception. However, a win is a win, and you can’t fault Atlanta for beating a good team, no matter how close it was.
Atlanta is looking to pick up where they left off last year, and have ambitions of returning to the Super Bowl. This is a team with all of the weapons you need to succeed in the NFL, and they will be tough to beat. As of now, they are a favorite to be representing the NFC in the championship.
There is no doubt that the Atlanta Falcons are worthy of some respect right now. However, I’m not going to put them in the top spot until we see a falter from my current #1. There is one team in the NFL that has been more impressive than the Falcons have so far. Atlanta is close, but they are still looking up at one team.
