SIT ‘EM
D/ST. Patriots. Patriots D/ST. 5. player. 47.
The Patriots were supposedly going to have a solid defense this year, but they didn’t deliver against the Chiefs. The Pats defense gave up a whopping 42 points and looked lost in the fourth quarter.

This week, the task doesn’t get any easier for New England, as they’ll travel to New Orleans to face the Saints. Any time a defense is facing Drew Brees, it’s a good idea to bench them. Brees didn’t light it up against the Vikings last week, but he did get a lot of garbage time yards near the end (including a late touchdown to Coby Fleener).
After seeing the Patriots defense struggle against the Chiefs, just imagine what Brees and his offense could do to them. This is not a defensive unit that I would give up on, but it’s definitely not one I’d roll with for this weekend. You should be able to drop them and pick them up later if need be.
