Five Games That Could Be in the Win Column – Week 6: Iowa State

Let’s start out by saying that the Iowa State Cyclones will be a tougher team than Kansas fans are going to give them credit for. So, why do I think this is likely for a Jayhawk win? Not only did the Cyclones have some pretty good games last year, but they had some awful ones as well. The outliers of each are revealing.

The Cyclones were extremely inconsistent last year. Whether this carries into this season or not has yet to be seen, but inconsistent teams lose close games. This could be one of them.

This will be a close one, as it normally is between these two schools (in both football and in basketball), with the Jayhawks coming out on top with a field goal. Again, this one could go either way, but the Jayhawks go on the attack towards a close win in Ames.

It’s not like beating Iowa State would be anything new, right?
