ERIC FREAKIN’ HOSMER!!

With the Wild Care race as messy as it is and the Royals being so far back in the division, the team must be in a win now mode. Every game becomes more meaningful the closer we inch to October.

In a game that the team absolutely needed to capitalize on, especially with Cleveland losing, Eric Hosmer came though big time. It appeared as though the Royals were ready to waste a leadoff walk by Alex Gordon.

Gordon reached base and the next two hitters promptly got out before Melky Cabrera laced a ball down the left field line. Down by one run with two outs this brought Hoz to the plate, who has always been known to come up with clutch hits. He crushed the ball at 109 mph to right field to end the game with a final score of 6-4.

The way Hosmer ripped Holland’s heart out tonight was ruthless, but also necessary. The Royals won the game against an old friend, but however wins come, fans won’t hesitate to take them.
