WEEK 13: NEW YORK JETS – MUHAMMAD WILKERSON, DT

This one was tough because the New York Jets are trash. They don’t have a set quarterback yet and the rest of their roster is just meh. With all of that said, I had to pick SOMEONE so I went with Muhammad Wilkerson, who is the best player on the Jets roster.

Last season Wilkerson had 33 tackles and four and a half sacks. He’s a force on their defense and hopefully won’t be giving Alex Smith too much trouble. The good news is that Wilkerson has yet to record a sack against the Chiefs, but that could also mean that he’s due to accomplish that feat.

Wilkerson is coming off a fairly weak 2016 campaign, which makes this year pretty critical for him.

Wilkerson is coming off a fairly weak 2016 campaign, which makes this year pretty critical for him. He’ll be looking to rebound and prove to his team that he’s that same guy in 2015 who put up 12 and a half sacks.

Hopefully Wilkerson doesn’t eat against the Chiefs.

A case could have been made for Matt Forte here as well, but he’s 31 years old and likely on the down end of his career. He rushed for over 800 yards last year and had seven touchdowns for the Jets.
