MOST DESPISED ATHLETES IN KC – NUMBER 2: JOHN ELWAY

At number two, we have John Elway. Elway was a long time member of the Denver Broncos and just always seemed to have the Chiefs’ number. He went 18-12 against them in 30 total games (17-12 in the regular season) and just always was able to bring the Broncos back in every game and win.

No matter what year it is, Chiefs fans will always hate John Elway.

Elway was the golden boy of the NFL during his time in the league and has two Super Bowl rings to show for it. He also made it into the Hall of Fame and is actually the general manager for the Broncos now, which ensures he’ll stay on this list forever.

Elway was a large reason for Peyton Manning picking Denver after he was released from the Colts. He was responsible for bringing in the best quarterback at that time into the AFC West to hand it to the Chiefs for the next four years, just like what Elway himself used to do to Kansas City.

When the Broncos won the Super Bowl in the 2015 season, the most annoying part of it all was having to see that stupid smirk on Elway’s face the entire time. He’s so full of himself and always has been. He knows he has Kansas City’s number too, which is even more frustrating.

Oh, not to mention he played a part in getting Jamaal Charles to sign with Denver this past offseason. Yeah, that one stings. The only thing that makes me smile about Elway is when the Chiefs beat his Broncos, which they have in three out of the last four meetings between the two sides.

No matter what year it is, Chiefs fans will always hate John Elway, and that puts him very high up on this list.
