DANNY DUFFY

What started as a great season for Danny Duffy has turned into a few shaky outings lately. Duffy currently is sporting an ERA of 3.89 after two rough starts, both coming against the White Sox.

Duffy toed the slab this past Tuesday and only made it through five innings while allowing six runs off of ten hits. Not exactly the kind of performance one expects from their ace, but it’s tough when he’s feeling the added pressure of the offense not hitting the ball.

Duffy will look for a shot at redemption when he takes the mound on Sunday against the Indians. Hopefully the Royals have already won the series by that point, but if not, Duffy will have to pitch exactly how he was earlier in the year in order for the Royals to win the series.

We’ve seen Duffman look great this season, but he’s also been known to be quite the inconsistent pitcher. He just needs to get back to that dominant lefty we saw in his first four outings, which we all know he’s more than capable of doing.
