B. . . Sports Illustrated. CHRIS BURKE

The second highest grade came via Chris Burke of Sports Illustrated, who gave the Chiefs a B. Burke liked the Chiefs going all in for Mahomes, noting that if he works out, this team will be set for years down the road. His biggest point is that no one in this draft can really jump in and help the team win right away, but that’s okay with how deep KC’s roster is.

Burke seemed to think that Hunt was the player who was most likely to come in and make an impact right away, but even that wasn’t a sure thing.

Again, this draft will be judged further in a few years when Mahomes is playing and hopefully leading the Chiefs to the playoffs each year. Also when Kpassagnon becomes a legitimate threat on defense and Hunt is one of the best running backs in the NFL.

"This a cross-your-fingers draft class that could help solidify the future, but offers minimal help for the present. Next: Bleacher Report"
