Over the past couple of seasons, Kansas City Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain has emerged as one of the best players on the roster. The dynamic player has shown the ability to hit for power, get extra bases, and play outstanding defense. He is the kind of young star that many teams would try to build around.
The biggest thing to watch with Lorenzo Cain is actually how the rest of the team is doing this year. Over the offseason, there were some rumbles about a potential trade with several teams. Most notably, the Cardinals were checking out the price tag on Cain. If the Royals aren’t competitive come the trade deadline, fans shouldn’t rule out the possibility of Cain playing in another city.
It’s not certain that Lorenzo Cain will be with the Royals after this season anyways. The star center fielder is set to hit Free Agency after this year, and it will be tough for the team to make him a suitable offer. So it will be very tempting to trade him to a top contender and get some good prospects in return.
