Why Chiefs fans should root against the Falcons

There is seemingly only one reason Chiefs fans can find to not support Atlanta on Super Bowl Sunday: Scott Pioli.

The former Chiefs General Manager now works for the Falcons as an Assistant General Manager in their front office. We’ve even seen him assist his most maligned pick, Tyson Jackson, in finding a home with the defensive line of the Falcons.

It’s been well-documented how unliked Pioli was/is in Kansas City. Some fans might hold onto those bitter memories enough to not want him to succeed. Even if they find themselves rooting for the Patriots instead.

It’s not crazy at all for Chiefs fans to not want to root on Pioli. He gave us some of the worst seasons in Chiefs history during his tenure here, and fans haven’t forgotten about that.
