Defense:

Marcus Peters – CB

Kansas City Chiefs star corner Marcus Peters finished the 2016 regular season with six interceptions. That was second most in the NFL, despite opposing teams avoiding his side of the field for much of the year. The second year corner has some of the best ball skills in the NFL and plays aggressive. That results in him making a ton of huge plays.

When you have a corner who can not only take the ball away, but has the athletic ability to turn it into a big gain, that is a difference maker. Marcus Peters doesn’t just make the interception, he does something with the ball afterwards. That gives the offense a much shorter field to work with, which instantly puts a defense on their heels.

On top of that, Marcus Peters has also shown that he can find the endzone. There are very few things more demoralizing to an opponent than when a defense can hang point on them. He hasn’t done it this season, but do not be surprised if he gets an opportunity against a Patriots team that likes to throw quick passes.
