In The Hunt

Miami Dolphins (6-4), Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5), Buffalo Bills (5-5), and Indianapolis Colts (5-5)

The Kansas City Chiefs are with the upper tier of the AFC playoff teams right now, and that is a good thing. There are a lot of good teams that are currently on the outside looking in. Those teams include the 6-4 Dolphins who have won five straight. It also includes the 5-5 Steelers who trounced the Cheifs earlier this year.

The Bills and Colts are both nearly out of the running for their respective divisions. Both teams need to pull off some big wins this week. For the Colts, that will mean knocking off the aforementioned Steelers. The Bills have a much easier task, hosting the hapless Jaguars this week. So already there is a good chance we see a change in the standings next week.

The Dolphins also have an easy task this week with the 49ers on deck. That isn’t good news for the rest of the AFC as at least one of the current 7-3 teams will be 7-4. Miami finding their way into the mix would further convolude the already crowded playoff race.
