Quarterback

Smith or Carr?

Derek Carr is one of the most promising young quarterbacks in the NFL right now. He continues to improve every year and is someone that I could see becoming a hated figure in Kansas City.

[Carr]’s 1-3 against [the Chiefs] in his young career.

Carr has thrown for 11 touchdowns in five games and only two interceptions. He’s looked solid in year three and he’s definitely the better quarterback between the two in this one.

Yes, Alex Smith has more years of experience, but when it comes to who you want leading the charge in crunch time – Most people are going to pick Carr.

Carr led his own comeback against the Chiefs in his first game against Kansas City, back in 2014. The Raiders were winless at the time, and Carr’s first career win came against the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football.

It is worth noting, however, that Carr has not beaten the Chiefs since that game. He’s 1-3 against them in his young career. All the more motivation for him to get a win on Sunday.

Advantage: Oakland
