Second Down: Marcus Peters….GOAT

There is no doubt that Kansas City Chiefs second year corner Marcus Peters had an outstanding game Sunday.  We’ll remember the two interceptions for sure, but his best contribution was in shutting down the Jets talented wide receiver group all day.  No matter who he faced, he seemed to keep them quiet.  That is truly impressive.

However, fans around the league were going nuts over Peters yesterday.  The truth is, I could have thrown up about 20 takes on this one.  Everyone was weighing in on Marcus Peters, and it seemed like everyone is predicting great things.

Hey, I get it, you’re jealous.  You should be.  While Marcus Peters is out here in KC balling, the Raiders paid big money for Sean Smith to struggle.  Now, Peters is originally from Oakland, so I get the connection.  However, it seems like Oakland fans are quickly forgetting that their team is bound for Las Vegas.  So the “hometown hero” line just isn’t gonna play out.
