Rich Hill

Rich Hill has been one of the surprising names this season. At 36 years old, Hill was dealing in Oakland before being sent to the Dodgers at the trade deadline. He’s currently sporting a 1.53 ERA in five starts with the Dodgers and will likely be one of the highest draws in free agency.

Hill will turn 37 years old in March, so a long-term deal in Kansas City is likely out of the picture. He’s a great pitcher and has shown that he can still pitch with the big boys, but he’s not someone I’d want to see the Kansas City Royals take a chance on.

The current Dodger, depending on how the rest of his 2016 season shapes up, will likely demand a lot of money in free agency. He won’t be worth the amount of money shelled out to him this offseason, and hopefully the Royals stay away from him.

Someone else should gladly scoop Hill up, but it probably won’t be the Royals.
