Kansas City Chiefs Top Position Battles – Number Ten: Kick Returner

There are some very good options who have big play ability.  When you can write off a guy like Knile Davis, that’s saying something.  Despite the ever changing kickoff rules designed to limit this aspect of the NFL game, we still see dynamic players who are capable of making highlight reels.  And the Chiefs have a number of guys who fit the bill.

a.      Tyreek Hill – Hill has turned heads in camp with his ability.  It gets a bit trickier when the pads come on, but he’s got to be the favorite.

b.      DeAnthony Thomas – Thomas is more of a punt returner, but he has the requisite talents to field kickoffs.

c.      Demarcus Robinson – Underrated in his ability, Robinson is a well-balanced athlete who should get some looks.

d.      Chris Conley (watch out for) – Conley may be the best long speed guy on the roster.  Would be near impossible to catch from behind.

e.      Knile Davis (not likely) – Davis was a very good return man for the Chiefs, but it appears they are ready to move on.
