Denver Broncos

The AFC West has been won by the Broncos for the past five seasons, including the 2011 season in which Tim Tebow led them to an 8-8 record. Despite the .500 record, Denver did end up winning a playoff game that season.

While it’s tough to bet against Denver seeing how they’ve owned the division the past five years, they’ll have more competition this year, and their defense might not be able to carry them again.

Once the Broncos acquired Peyton Manning, they ran away with the division for most of his time there. They only ended up winning the AFC West by one game last year, but it was enough to propel them to their second Super Bowl in three seasons, and they finally brought home the title for the first time since the John Elway days.

All of this was to the dismay of Kansas City Chiefs fans everywhere, but the Broncos have taken a step back this offseason. After all of the potential trade rumors concerning Colin Kaepernick, Denver signed Mark Sanchez, who is known for something called a “butt fumble”.

Despite Sanchez currently being the Broncos’ starting quarterback, the team still has the talent on defense. They only lost Malik Jackson, but shelled out a lot of money for C.J. Anderson, who in all honesty, isn’t that good.

While it’s tough to bet against Denver seeing how they’ve owned the division the past five years, they’ll have more competition this year, and their defense might not be able to carry them again. Still though… The AFC West currently runs through the Denver Broncos until further notice.
