Number Two: Brock Olivo

Brock Olivo only played one season of winning football with the Tigers. He never put up a 1,000-yard season on the ground, but still managed to find his way to second all-all time in rushing yards for his career. (For a running back)

He’s one of two running backs in Mizzou football season to total more than 3,000 yards rushing in a career and he added another 443 receiving yards on top of it. His 3,469 yards from scrimmage are second only to Brad Smith.

He was one of the key factors to a winning season in 1997 scoring a total of 12 touchdowns. He may have been standing in the way of Devin West at the time as the two split carries. It’s really kind of incredible that two of the best running backs for Mizzou split carries at one point.

When Olivo left Mizzou he was the all-time leader in both touchdowns and rushing yards. He was also just the seventh player in Mizzou history to have his number retired though he hasn’t been inducted into their hall of fame.

Aside from his gaudy stats during his time with Mizzou, he may have best been known for his work ethic. He was named Big 8 offensive freshman of the year in 1994 and also brought home the special teams player of the year in 1997. It was the first time an MU player had brought home an national individual award.
