Sit Em #1
Simply put, the Philadelphia Eagles offense has been AWFUL through two weeks, and this includes new acquisition, and last year’s leading rusher DeMarco Murray.
In two games, Murray has gotten 21 carries and 11 yards. Yes, you read that right ELEVEN yards.
Chip Kelly’s revelation of an offense that he claims to have has not shown so far this season in the slightest as the running game as well as the passing game under quarterback Sam Bradford have struggled mightily to get going and have honestly looked incapable at times.
Murray hasn’t seen anything but the opponent on his touches, as he doesn’t even average a whole yard per carry. In my opinion, it is Kelly’s offense that is causing Murray to struggle as much as he is.
He is lineup up in the shotgun on most plays without a fullback or any additional blockers and it has caused him and the rest of the Eagles rushing attack to really struggle despite having three very talented and capable backs in Murray, Ryan Matthews, and Darren Sproles.
Murray and the Cowboys matchup with the stellar Jets run D in Week 3 and I wouldn’t even consider starting Murray unless you simply don’t have any other options on your team.
Any league with 10 or less teams should have plenty of decent options to replace Murray on your bench or on the wavier wire for Week 3.
Consider him a risky play in all leagues this week.
