Mike DeVito is strong. Like straight-up backyard, country, flipping-tractor-tires strong.

He lined up in different gaps along the line and won several battles last night against the Cardinals starting offense.

DeVito missed last season with an Achilles injury, a serious setback for any athlete, so the best news is that he looked 100-percent in the limited snaps he saw last night.

He’s got an old-school football player feel about him. Just tell him where to show up and when and he’s game.

He said a few weeks ago that this team is building a bully, according to KCChiefs.com. It looks like he’s going to do his part and more for that unit. When he’s been healthy in his seven-year career, he’s a clog in run support and his motor is non-stop.

He was asked to take a pay cut before the season, according to NBC Sports, and he did.

Not only will DeVito bring production, he’s a leadership guy. He’s got an old-school football player feel about him. Just tell him where to show up and when, and he’s game. Reminiscent of Buffalo Bills veteran Kyle Williams. They live for the grind.
