FANTASY FOOTBALL WIDE RECEIVERS NUMBER 14: DeANDRE HOPKINS

DeAndre Hopkins has been a stud for the Houston Texans through his first few seasons with the team. Last year, he eclipsed 1,200 yards on 76 receptions and really took the next step into becoming an elite receiver.

Consider him a very solid number two receiver in all leagues, with the potential to play like a number one.

Hopkins did only catch six touchdowns last year however, but I think that number could skyrocket and even double as the Texans long-time fan favorite and #1 WR Andre Johnson is now a member of the Indianapolis Colts and will no longer be hindering Hopkins growth into a potential number one wide receiver in the NFL.

I like Hopkins this year not only because Johnson is now gone, but I see the Texans being a team that doesn’t have many options on offense other than Hopkins and star running back Arian Foster.

If Hopkins can get a couple more touchdowns this season, we’ll likely see him break into the top-10 fantasy receivers in the league next year.

Consider him a very solid number two receiver in all leagues, with the potential to play like a number one. This could especially ring true in PPR leagues, because I see his targets going through the roof this season.
