Week One VS Tennessee Titans

Obviously the easiest place to start would be the week one loss to Tennessee. Coming into this season, people saw the schedule and immediately panicked. The Broncos, Patriots, and 49ers in the first five weeks? Eek!

  • The Titans game in week one looked to be possibly the only win the team would be able to score before their week six bye.

Buuuut, that didn’t happen. Instead, the Chiefs got stomped on in Arrowhead Stadium against a (as we discovered later on) bad Tennessee Titans team. It was heartbreaking.

Alex Smith looked awful, the defense looked dreadful, Derrick Johnson and Mike DeVito both got hurt, and Jamaal Charles barely got the ball. What gives?

After this game, Kansas City pretty much had kissed the 2014 season good-bye. There was no hope for this team that had posted an 11-5 record the year before and gone to the playoffs. Nope. Especially not with Denver on the schedule the following week.

Luckily, the Chiefs have bounced back nicely to go 5-2 since this awful loss. But man, was it a scary time for Kansas City Chiefs fans.
