JAMAAL CHARLES FOR MVP

Jamaal Charles is good… REALLY good.

The guy has been a dominant force in Andy Reids scheme and having him back last night shined for this Kansas City offense that has been deprived of him for the last two weeks. He’s so tough between the tackles, bouncing of hits on the goal line and not afraid to hit the hole quick for a short 3-4 yards.

There is a reason the guy averages 5.5 yards per carry in his career.

Though we can start to make an argument that the Chiefs offense would be in more trouble if Alex Smith got hurt, there is no denying who the MVP of this team is. Charles has scored 22 touchdowns dating back to last season and that’s three more than the next person, Jimmy Graham out of New Orleans (19 TDs).

If he continues this run and the Chiefs string together enough wins to get back to the playoffs, his name needs to be brought up in the NFL MVP discussions for the second straight year.

It’s good to have the Chiefs greatest running back healthy, and back in the lineup.
