4). G-Brian Waters, University of North Texas, 1999–Brian Waters signed with the Dallas Cowboys after the 1999 draft, but it was the Kansas City Chiefs that picked him up in 2000 and moved him to guard where he became an 6-time pro-bowler.

Waters played both fullback and tight-end before moving to defensive end from North Texas. The Cowboys considered him a TE, but it was Kansas City that asked him to convert to guard.

It was nothing short of a brilliant decision for the doomed head coach Gunther Cunningham, who would be fired in favor of Dick Vermeil in 2001. Vermeil was the one that reaped the benefit from acquiring Waters, who installed him in the starting lineup midway through the 2001 season.

Brian Waters went on to earn 5 pro-bowl and 3 1st team All-pro berths as a member of the Chiefs. He formed one of the great offensive lines in NFL history paired with LT Willie Roaf, LG Waters, C Casey Weigmann, RG Will Shields and RT John Tait. All five members of this line earned pro-bowl nods in their careers. This group, minus Tait, paved the way for an NFL record 8 rushing touchdowns in a 2004 game vs. the Atlanta Falcons.

Waters left Kansas City after getting cut after the 2010 season by GM disaster Scott Pioli. Waters went on to earn another pro bowl berth in New England in 2011, and played one more season in Dallas in 2013.
