There are only so many ways to say “TCU’s offense sucks.” This isn’t about just one player, this about scheme and awful recruiting. Injuries aren’t helping matters either.

Rivals.com lists the Horned Frogs ninth in the conference in recruiting, ahead of Kansas, and without any kind of marquee offensive recruit at a skill position. Competing in the Big 12 is going to require offensive skill players who can make plays in the open field and a quarterback who can get them the ball. There is a reason why Mike Leach’s Red Raiders and Art Briles Baylor Bears were so successful in the Big 12 even without very good defenses.

TCU should look to a team like K-State who has managed to put together strong offenses without having many high-level talents on offense. If they could mimic something like that – a running game that dominates and eats up clock for a stud defense – TCU would be one of the best teams in the nation.
