The Kansas City Chiefs are no longer in the running to play in Super Bowl LI and with that begins the heavy load of NFL Draft discussion and better yet, mock drafts. Here is KC Kingdom’s first mock draft of the offseason.

Mock draft season is upon us, my friends! That means it’s time for me to utilize Fanspeak’s Mock Draft Simulator once again and act as commissioner for the Chiefs on draft day. Each mock draft I’ll use a different big board, but for this one I used Matt Miller’s of Bleacher Report.

With it only being January and the draft being in May, this first draft is appropriately titled the “Way Too Early Mock Draft”. It’s simply way too early for fans to really have an idea as to who the KC Chiefs might select in the 2017 NFL Draft.

A lot can happen before draft weekend, with free agency being a big factor as to what happens during the draft.

Without spoiling too much, this draft was pretty evenly matched as far as what offensive and defensive positions were drafted. I felt like I addressed the major needs on offense and then kept building the defense so that the holes are even more limited.

All right, let’s get started!
